Service Description

In the Pottery Experience Day you will create your own mini tableware set. Make a cup, small plate & bowl. The class begins with a demonstration by Kelly your teacher & guide of the techniques you will be using to create your pottery; The morning you will be taking it in turns to throw on the potters wheel. After lunch, we turn to hand building methods pinch & slab to create more wares. You’ll also learn how to apply surface pattern. At the end of the day your creations will be painted with coloruful underglazes. Class sizes are small & welcoming with a maximum of eight students per group, ensuring plenty of tuition. Courses are suitable for over 16s only. Please dress for mess! Bring a small hand towel, and apron if you have one. Short nails are also recommended. Complimentary Tea & Coffee, please bring a packed lunch or there are plenty of yummy places to eat in Killorglin Town. Why not bring a friend or family member with you & make memories! Lunch from 1-2pm. Your pottery will be glazed and fired, ready for you to collect within 3wks. Investment: €140 or (€260 for 2people). Time:10:30am - 4:30pm. (please note if this day does not suit a group booking together I can rearrange another day suitable).
